Midfielder misses out on return to action

Emyr Huws has suffered an injury setback and will miss the Carabao Cup clash with Crystal Palace.

The Wales international has not featured since his summer arrival from Cardiff after sustaining an achilles injury.

He has been back in training for the past week or two though and was expected to feature at Selhurst Park on Tuesday night.

“Emyr was going to play,” Town boss Mick McCarthy told iFollow.

“But he left training with a sore achilles so won’t be available.

“It’s frustrating as he keeps showing what a wonderful footballer he is on the training pitch. He did that this morning. He has a fantastic left foot.

“This is a tough time for him now with another setback. We will see how he is but we’re all just looking forward to him getting back to full fitness.”
