Blues midfielder is keeping a level head despite Town's perfect start to the new campaign

Grant Ward isn't getting ahead of himself following Town's excellent start to the season, and insists he's keeping his feet firmly on the ground.

The former Spurs man grabbed two assists at the Den in midweek as he and his fellow team-mates made it four wins from four at the start of the campaign.

"It's been a great start, but we don't want to get ahead of ourselves because it's a long season and anything can happen," he told iFollow Ipswich.

"We'll just knuckle down and focus on the next game against Brentford.

"We've been a bit unlucky with injuries as well, but we've got a few players coming back, as Emyr Huws trained today, Luke Hyam has been too so hopefully we can get them back.

"Every time I've played Brentford it's been a tough game because they play good football.

"We'll go in full of confidence and hopefully we can get a good result. We've had a few good performances so far, so I'm sure the crowd will get behind us again."
