Blues match-winner happy to come out on top after a thriller at the Den

Jordan Spence admits he was thankful that it was Town that left with all three points, making it four wins from four, in a game which ebbed and flowed at the Den.

The Blues fell behind with less than a minute on the clock against Millwall, but rallied to equalise, and go on to secure a well fought 4-3 win, with Spence netting the winner just minutes before the full-time whistle.

"It was one of those games where you just felt like there was going to be a winner, and I'm just greatful to get my head on the end of Wardy's cross," he told the iFollow Ipswich after the game.

"I thought the first half at Barnsley was frantic, but that was doubly frantic!

"Three points is what we wanted so we've come here and carried on the momentum that we brought from the first three games.

"Winning games is what the fans want to see, and it's what we want to do. I'm glad that all the talking is done and we're showing the level of commitment in our performances, but also having the bit at the end of it to allow us to win those games.

"The support tonight was terrific, especially coming into a hostile environment like this. The way they got behind us gave us that energy so hopefully we've sent them home happy."
