Blues make it three wins from three as Waghorn bags his first goal for Town
Martyn Waghorn has praised the bravery of the decision from Mick McCarthy having made a double switch at half-time.
The number 9, and his fellow substitute, David McGoldrick were both on target as the Blues made it three wins in a week against Barnsley at Oakwell, with the former Rangers man grabbing his first Town goal.
"It was a huge win. We were slow to get started but to get three wins in a week is huge for the confidence going forward," the striker told iFollow Ipswich after the game.
"When the manager makes two subs at half-time it can go either way, but as a sub I just had to come on and try to have an impact on the game.
"Obviously Didz [David McGoldrick] got the first and I got the second which was brilliant for the team. It was bold, but sometimes you have to freshen things up if it's right for the team.
I just seen the gap and fortunately Garns [Joe Garner] has found me. It's one of those that if it goes through the defender's legs, it plants the 'keeper so as soon as I hit it I knew it was in and I'm delighted to get off the mark."
