Blues boss looking to add to his options at the back after injuries
Mick McCarthy has been given the green light to bring in defensive reinforcements, with Tommy Smith and Adam Webster having suffered injuries in recent weeks.
The Blues go to Millwall tomorrow with limited options at the back, but the boss is only looking to bring the right kind of player to Portman Road.
"We can bring somebody in, but it's just a matter of who," he told iFollow Ipswich.
"As usual, we're exploring all avenues that are available to us.
"We have got fresh knocks going into the game: Flynn Downes had to come off and Freddie Sears has got a bruised foot.
"We'll have Wardy [Grant Ward] back, though so we should be alright."
