Boss thrilled the Club is on the up as perfect start continues
Mick McCarthy says he is delighted that the Club is on the up after Town made it five wins from five games at the start of the season.
Goals from Martyn Waghorn and Joe Garner - the second courtesy of Hawkeye technology - gave Blues a 2-0 win over Brentford and took Town into second in the table.
“I hated last year when the Club was down. I’m not worried about me personally, it’s Ipswich Town that matters,” the Town boss told iFollow.
“So I’m delighted the fans are going away smiling and enjoying their football and the Club is on the up at the moment.
“That was a damn good result again today. They are a good side. I don’t know how they are down the bottom of the table.
“We had to get blocks in and they had some good chances in the first-half but Waggy has followed the ball for the first goal and it was a great header by Joe for the second.
“Thanks for technology as well. The goalline technology is good for the game. If it’s a goal, you want it to be a goal. Likewise if it’s not a goal, you don’t want it to be a goal.”
