Teddy out for season as midfield injury problems continue

Teddy Bishop will miss the rest of the season after being told he needs surgery.

The midfielder limped off the pitch just before half-time during the goalless draw against QPR on Boxing Day and scans have revealed he has ruptured his hamstring.

The news adds to Town’s midfield injury woes with Teddy, who has only just returned from a hernia operation, joining Emyr Huws, Tom Adeyemi, Cole Skuse, Flynn Downes, Tristan Nydam, Luke Hyam and Andre Dozzell on the sidelines.

“Bish needs surgery which is devastating for all of us,” Town boss Mick McCarthy told the Club website.

“He’s a great lad and the lads all love him but of course, the one that is suffering  the most at the moment is Bish himself.

“It will be another challenge for him, both physically and mentally but he will get great support from everyone at the Club and we wish him a speedy recovery.”
