Praise for the 'best 'keeper in the league' as well

Mick McCarthy hailed his team at both ends of the park after watching Town score four past Nottingham Forest.

Goals from Callum Connolly, Dominic Iorfa, Martyn Waghorn and Bersant Celina gave Blues a 4-2 win to keep the Club on the edge of the Play-Off places.

“Having scored four goals, we were a threat all the time,” the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.

“They make it an open game to be fair. They push and we said if we can nick the ball off them we will be a threat and that’s how it turned out.

“There were some really impressive performances out there from lads that have played five games in 15 days.

“Forest will be sick of Waggy [Waghorn] today. He was a constant problem to them. He took his goal well and he did great to set up Santi [Celina] for the fourth goal.

“Santi epitomised what we are about. He tracked back every time and still got forward to cause them problems and get his goal.

“Bart made some big saves for us again as well. I’ve said many times before. If there is a better ‘keeper in the league, I have not seen him.”
