Connolly armband salute in memory of former Blue
Callum Connolly dedicated his goal against Reading to the late Dick Parker, who sadly passed away last Saturday.
Dick had been a member of the Town staff for 20 years, latterly as the training ground caretaker, and Callum paid his respects after scoring Town’s first in a
2-0 win at Portman Road.
“From day one he spoke to me and made me feel at home. I only knew him for six months or so but he was a big character around the place.
“He’s a legend here and that goal was for him. He’ll be missed dearly.
“It was a great reception from everyone today and that showed what he meant to the Club.”
