Dyer looks back at career in an exciusive fundraising event for charity
Town favourite Kieron Dyer will be holding the official launch of his autobiography ‘Old Too Soon, Smart Too Late’ in an exclusive event at Portman Road in February.
Written with national journalist, Oliver Holt, the book looks back over Kieron’s career that started at Town’s Academy and took him to the highest level in football.
It’s an open and honest account, with Kieron narrating in uncompromising detail how a generation of talented English footballers, taken out of working class childhoods and presented with a world of fame and fortune failed to cope with the riches that were presented to them and often fell apart.
Joining Kieron, who made more than 120 appearances for Town and now coaches at the Club’s Academy, at the launch at Portman Road on Friday, February 23, 2018 will be two of his former team-mates, Jermaine Jenas and Craig Bellamy.
The launch event, which will raise money for a charity close to Kieron’s heart, which he will reveal on the night, along with the Club’s Academy, will be hosted by former Blue, Simon Milton, and will include a two-course meal before Kieron reflects on the book and his career.
Tickets to the night, which also includes a signed copy of the book are priced at £65 + VAT per person (£78 per person including VAT). Click on www.itfcdirect.com for information and to purchase tickets.
