Goalscorer Joe frustrated Blues couldn't salvage a point in second-half rally

Joe Garner felt Town could have nicked a point following an improved second-half display against Derby.

The striker reduced the deficit with a header in the 65th minute, his seventh goal for the Club, but the visitors held on to take all three points following a brace from Sam Winnall.

“We were much better in the second-half,” the 29-year-old striker told iFollow Ipswich.

“It’s frustrating as we were pressing in the final 20 minutes or so and on another day we’d have nicked another goal and come away with a point.

“But Derby are a good side and they defended well. I think they’ll be right up there at the end of the season.

“We’ll pick ourselves up to go again at Fulham and hopefully bounce back.”
