Blow for Blues as midfielder has knee operation
Emyr Huws has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery.
The midfielder sustained a tear to his cartilage during the defeat at Middlesbrough last weekend and after seeing a specialist, went under the surgeon’s knife today.
“It has been repaired and the average recovery period is around six months which means he will obviously miss the rest of the season.”
Town boss Mick McCarthy added: “It’s obviously very disappointing for us but even more so for Emyr.
“We know the quality he brings to the team and he will be missed.”
