GARNER TO MISS THE VISIT OF FOREST

1 December 2017

Striker to miss the visit of Mark Warburton's side

Town will be without striker, Joe Garner for the visit of Nottingham Forest to Portman Road on Saturday, Mick McCarthy has confirmed.

The former Rangers man missed Tuesday's win over Derby County with a foot injury and isn't fit to return this weekend.

"He's still nursing that [foot injury] he's not going to be fit, he won't be playing," Mick told iFollow Ipswich.

"Unfortunately, when he put his boot on it was too sore, so sadly we’re missing him again.

"The danger was on Tuesday night was that if he had tried it, he may well have tried it and came off and not been fit for either game."

The boss also said that Tom Adeyemi remains sidelined through injury, but has Myles Kenlock available for selection again.

"Tom had initially pencilled this game in for a return but he'll have to rub that one out as he's not back."

"We’ve got Chambo [Luke Chambers] suspended, of course, and Flynn Downes. Myles Kenlock trained today as well Myles is fit."
