Mick looking to maintain momentum against a 'massive club on a roll'

Mick McCarthy is looking for Town to maintain the recent good form against more high-flying opposition in Leeds.

The Elland Road club are the latest promotion chasing side to take on Blues, with Garry Monk’s team arriving at Portman Road in the Play-Off places.

“We’re in a run of particularly tough matches at the moment but the players have responded well to the challenge and we’ve had some good performances and results lately,” the Town boss Ipswich Player HD.

“Leeds have been excellent this season. Garry has done a great job there.

“They had a difficult start but were just getting going when they played us at their place and they played very well on the night.

“We all know what a massive club Leeds are and they will bring a lot of fans with them on Saturday. If they can get on a roll, they will be hard to stop and it’s looking that way at the moment.

“They won’t be thinking it will be easy for them here but we need to perform as we have done lately to compete.”

Subscribers to Ipswich Player HD can watch the full interview with Mick now, with live commentary from Portman Road at 3pm on Saturday.

It’s an all-ticket game with no tickets sold on the turnstiles

Match tickets will be restricted to those supporters who have purchased a ticket at Portman Road within the last 10 seasons. Purchases for previous matches against Leeds will not qualify.

Tickets are on sale to those supporters who do qualify via  up until kick-off with the ‘Print at Home’ option available.  Supporters will also be available to purchase in the Planet Blue store in Portman Road until 1.30pm on matchday.

Please note that Portman Road will be closed after the final whistle for a short time while the Leeds fans leave the stadium.
