Mick wants repeat of February form on derby day

Mick McCarthy says he will settle for a repeat of the performances Town have shown in the last four games in the derby at Carrow Road on Sunday.

It’s been an impressive February so far for Town with a win at Aston Villa joined by draws against promotion contenders Brighton, Reading and Leeds.

The trip to Norwich brings a testing month of fixtures to a close, with the Canaries currently seven points adrift of a top six place.

“It’s a great game to look forward to,” the Town boss told the Club website.

“We need to play as well as we have done so far this month. If we do that, then we will compete with them. If we don’t reach that level, it will be a tough afternoon.

“We go there with confidence though and I’ll certainly settle for another 90 minutes of the way we have been playing lately.”

Ipswich Player HDand the Club website will be carrying all the build-up to derby day, with live commentary of the match on Ipswich Player HD and reaction straight after the final whistle from Mick and the players.
