Illness and injury cause concern ahead of Carrow Road showdown

Town have fitness concerns over Luke Chambers, Freddie Sears, Toumani Diagouraga and Teddy Bishop ahead of the derby.

“Chambo has been ill this week but he’s been back in today,” Blues’ boss Mick McCarthy told Ipswich Player HD.

“Toums has been poorly as well and we have sent him home today. That is obviously a concern because we are only three days away from the game.

“Freddie has got a sore groin and Bish hurt his groin while playing for the U23s on Monday.

“We will see how they are again on Saturday but we’ve got the extra day and most of them should be okay.”

Subscribers to Ipswich Player HD can watch a full interview with Mick on Sunday’s trip to Carrow Road, with the service also carrying live commentary from the game. Kick-off 12 midday.
