Blues defender impressed with Lawrence, but his double can't prevent a replay with non-league Lincoln
Christophe Berra has praised the performaces of Tom Lawrence, but admits to being disappointed at being held to a 2-2 draw with Lincoln at Portman Road.
The Blues twice fell behind in the game, but Leicester loanee, Tom, pegged the Imps back on both occasions to force a replay, although Christophe was unhappy with the manner of the goals Town conceded.
“It was a tough day all round because they made it difficult for us, and they were poor goals to lose,” he told Ipswich Player HD.
“One was from a cross and the other a long ball over the top so we have to do better there but thankfully Tom came up with the goods.
“He’s playing well just now and scored with two great strikes.
“We’re in the hat but it will be a different type of game in the replay with them being at home and maybe a bit more relaxed.
“All credit to Lincoln, they played well and will be happy with their performance. We have to get on with it, be thick-skinned so we can prepare for the Blackburn game and that is one we’re looking to get the three points in.”
