Defender out for three more weeks and Brett misses cup replay

Town will be missing Myles Kenlock and Brett Pitman for the FA Cup replay at Lincoln, with Myles set for a further three weeks on the sidelines.

The 20-year-old defender sustained a calf injury in the defeat at QPR at the start of the year, while Brett suffered a groin problem in the 2-2 draw with the Imps in the cup clash at Portman Road last weekend.

“Myles had a great game at QPR but he got the injury and that’s why I had to take him off,” Town boss Mick McCarthy told Ipswich Player HD.

“We thought he would be out for a week or 10 days but our medical team have found some fluid in there and he’s going to be out for another three weeks.

“It’s a shame for Myles because he was putting Jonas [Knudsen] under severe pressure for his place. Jonas has responded well though and was very good for us against Blackburn at the weekend.”

David McGoldrick also misses the replay at Sincil Bank with a hamstring problem.
