German fans warm up for Blackburn game in FanZone

The Blue Army will be boosted by 100 Fortuna Dusseldorf supporters at Saturday’s game against Blackburn.

Fans from Town and the German club have had a close affinity over recent years, which has seen the emergence of the Fortuna Blues branch of the Official ITFC Supporters’ Club.

The Fortuna Blues make one or two visits to Portman Road per season, with Town fans making the return trip to Germany to back their club.

Mick McCarthy took his side to Dusseldorf for a pre-season friendly in 2015 to cement the relationship between the fans and the Fortuna supporters will be in full voice in Section 6 tomorrow.

They will also be in the FanZone when it opens at 11.30am on Saturday and in Legends after the final whistle, with local band Talk of the Town in action there.

Town fans can swallow up a discounted meal deal in Legends pre and post match with a Portman Pie and a pint at only £6.50.

The curry cart is on site in the FanZone with a selection of foods available, including chips, burger, hot dogs and bacon rolls. Hot drinks are also available.
