Striker to join The Blues from Forest Green Rovers subject to paperwork after passing medical and penning 18 month contract at Portman Road
Town have agreed a deal to sign Kieffer Moore from Forest Green Rovers, joining for an undisclosed fee subject to paperwork.
The powerful striker will pen an 18 month deal at Portman Road after passing a medical earlier today, and will become Mick McCarthy's first addition of the January transfer window.
The 24 year-old began his career in non-League with Truro City and Dorchester, before moving into League football with Yeovil.
The 6ft 6in striker really caught the eye at Huish Park and was part of the Glovers' side that competed in the Championship during the 2013/14 season.
Following Yeovil's second successive relegation, Kieffer departed Somerset and joined Norwegian side Viking, making nine appearances in his sole season in Scandinavia.
Since then, the striker has become an integral part of the Forest Green Rovers attack, either side of a short loan spell with Torquay United, and has netted 10 times in 14 starts in the National League this season, giving him one of the best goal-to-game ratios in the division.
Kieffer has also been capped at England C level and now joins Town to offer competition to current senior strikers; Brett Pitman, Freddie Sears, David McGoldrick and Leon Best.
