Town striker departs on a permanent deal as he agrees move to League One Portsmouth
Brett Pitman has joined Portsmouth on a permanent deal from Ipswich Town.
The striker moves back to the south coast after penning a contract at Fratton Park, after passing a medical yesterday.
Brett joined Town in 2015 from Bournemouth, with Ryan Fraser joining him at Portman Road on loan from the Cherries, and finished as the Blues' top scorer in his first campaign.
Last season he netted four times from 14 starts as Town ended the season in 16th place but will be plying his trade in League One next term with Kenny Jackett's newly-promoted Pompey.
As well as Bournemouth (three spells), the Jersey-born frontman also had a three year stint with Bristol City earlier in his career.
The striker follows Kieffer Moore and Josh Emmanuel out of Portman Road, with the pair joining Rotherham on season-long loan deals.
