Blues likely to completely reshuffle the side that lost to the Gills at Colchester this evening

Mick McCarthy admitted following Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Gillingham at Priestfield that he is likely to make wholesale changes to his squad for tonight's trip to Colchester (kick-off 7.30pm).

The Town boss replaced his entire starting XI, barring goalkeeper, Bartosz Bialkowski, with 20 minutes to go in Kent on Saturday, with a number of those substitutions set to start at the Weston Homes Community Stadium this evening.

"Players like David McGoldrick, who are just coming back, will probably get 70 minutes at Colchester along with Dominic [Iorfa] and Adam [Webster]," he told iFollow Ipswich.

"Saturday was only Luke Chambers' second game back as well so it's important we have these players fit for the start of the season."

The Blues will be without Tom Adeyemi [illness], Emyr Huws [calf/achilles] and Andre Dozzell, who has only recently returned to training following his participation in England's U19 European Championship winning side.

Cole Skuse is fit to return to the squad, however, having missed the weekend defeat through illness.

Please note that this fixture is not available to watch live on iFollow Ipswich.

Kick-off at the Weston Homes Community Stadium is at 7.30pm with prices set as:

Adults - £15
Senior/Forces/Disabled - £10
18-21 - £12
U18 - £10
U14 - £4
U11 - £2
