Ben and Conor head to Ireland as Mick confirms some interest in his players
Ben Morris and Conor McKendry have been added to the contingent of young players in the Town squad for the first pre-season friendly against Drogheda on Saturday.
The duo have flown out to join Blues at the training camp at Carton House in time for the game at United Park, kick-off 2pm.
Flynn Downes, George Fowler, Tristan Nydam and Pat Webber have been with the squad all week and could feature against the Irish club at the weekend.
Former Newcastle defender Steven Taylor is also with the party The defender, who signed a short term contract at Portman Road last season, is hoping to win a new deal with Town.
Meanwhile Mick McCarthy has confirmed to the Club website that some of his squad are attracting interest from elsewhere.
“There has been a bit of interest, certainly in one of the players and in terms of loans, we have had enquiries about two others,” said the Town boss.
