Worldwide smash show to feature at Portman Road
They have sold out all around the world, from Covent Garden to Singapore to the Sydney Opera House, now they are coming to Portman Road.
Kicking off in Brisbane in April 1997, Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is an affectionate homage to Fawlty Towers, the classic TV series.
It’s a worldwide hit, appearing in around 20 countries, with chaos greeting audiences as soon as they walk through the door.
In this fully immersive experience, the audience become diners in the infamous ‘Faulty’ restaurant and are served a three-course meal by Basil, Sybil and Manuel.
Expect lashings of laughter, bowls full of spontaneity and as much audience participation as individual audience members want. And with 70 per cent of the show improvised, no two performances are ever the same.
Highlights of this year include a string of return visits to Fringe Festivals in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Edinburgh, and tours in Europe, Scandinavia, Asia, Australia and the Caribbean.
With an ongoing residency, too, in the heart of London’s theatre land, Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is the most successful interactive comedy show of its kind.
And what a way to celebrate 20 years, with a debut performance at Ipswich Town on October 27.
Ten teams of cast now tour the world virtually non-stop for the show with Suzanna Hughes (Sybil), Rob Langston (Basil) and James Heatlie (Manuel) in action at Town in October.
Doors open at 7.00pm, with the performance commencing at 7.30pm. Tickets are £45 (including VAT) and include a three-course meal and two-hour interactive show.
