Dates changed on three fixtures ahead of the new Championship season
Changes to the 2017/18 schedule have been made with both games against Norwich being pushed back 24 hours to the Sunday and the away clash with Fulham also being affected.
The Blues' home clash with the Canaries will now take place on the 22nd of October with the return fixture at Carrow Road changed to the 18th of February. Both games will kick-off at 12pm at the advice of the Police.
Also, the away fixture at Craven Cottage has been moved from the original date of New Year's Day to the following evening, Tuesday, 2nd January (kick-off 7:45pm) at the request of Fulham.
Town have proposed no further changes to the calendar for the season ahead and Club Secretary, Stuart Hayton admits the supporters were at the forefront of the Club's thinking, especially for home matches during holiday periods.
"There were discussions to move the Derby game at Portman Road back a day to Friday the 29th of December in order to give the players an extra day of rest in what is a very busy schedule.
"However, we decided it would be of greater benefit to our supporters to keep the game on Saturday the 30th.
"There will also be no change to our Easter Monday game against Millwall for similar reasons, despite playing Birmingham City at St. Andrews on the Saturay prior.
"We saw how much the supporters enjoyed last season's clash [against Newcastle] by turning up in numbers and providing a great atmosphere, so we want to try and replicate that again."
Please note that all fixture dates and kick-off times are subject to change throughout the season as Sky will select which games they wish to broadcast live.
