Simon Milton looks back on 30 years as a Blue in an in-depth interview
Simon Milton ends 30 years working for Ipswich Town next week when he leaves Portman Road for a new challenge.
The former Supporters’ Player of the Year looks back on his 11 years as a player and then an off-field role in an exclusive and in-depth interview with iFollow.
Milts recalls the Second Division title success of 1992; his Premier League days; standing next to a vocal Vinnie Jones in the tunnel; the loan moves that made him and the fears that he might have ended up painting machinery rather than having a career in the game.
He also looks back on his time off the pitch and reveals where he is heading next and why that move could bring a superstar from afar back to Portman Road one day.
The interview is the first in a new series on iFollow, Ipswich Icons. To launch the series, all viewers can watch the show on the Club’s YouTube channel. Don’t miss it.
Next up: Matt Holland.
