Midfielder Adeyemi is latest addition to squad as he signs two year deal
Town have beaten off interest from other Championship clubs to make a fourth addition of the summer with the arrival of Tom Adeyemi.
The 25-year-old midfielder has signed a two year contract, with a 12 month option on top, having become a free agent.
Tom follows the additions of Jordan Spence, Joe Garner and Emyr Huws to Mick McCarthy’s squad over recent weeks and will travel with the rest of the first-team party to the training camp in Ireland next week.
After working his way through the youth ranks and into the first-team at Norwich, Tom had loan spells with Bradford, Oldham and Brentford before sealing a permanent switch to Birmingham in 2013 where he played under Lee Clark.
He spent one season at St Andrews before Cardiff paid out a reported £1m for his services in 2014 as the Bluebirds looked for an immediate return to the Premier League following relegation.
His chances were limited in the Welsh capital though and he had successful loan spells at Leeds and Rotherham over the last two seasons.
He was a regular in the Millers’ side last season and showed an eye for goal with seven strikes in 30 games including a well-taken winner against Town at the New York Stadium in April.
