Defender starts as All Whites progress to next stage of World Cup qualification and another cap for Andre

Tommy Smith played the full 90 minutes as New Zealand took another step down the road to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The Town defender picked up his 31st cap as the All Whites beat Fiji 2-0 in a qualifier in Wellington to confirm their place at the top of their Oceania group.

They will now meet the winner of the other group - likely to be Tahiti - in a two-leg play-off. The winners of that will take on the fifth placed side in the South America group, which could be one of several teams including Argentina.

Only Brazil have virtually secured their place in the World Cup from that group so far.

Meanwhile Andre Dozzell was in the England U18 side that beat Qatar 4-0. Fellow Blue, Tristan Nydam, missed the game through injury.
