Town duo explain the importance of healthy living and good attitude as part of Club's partnership with Vertas

Steven Taylor and Kieffer Moore headed back to school this week to spend time with year six pupils at Ravenswood Primary School in Ipswich.

The visit, which was set-up through the Club and schools’ mutual partnership with multi-service facilities management company, Vertas, focused on the importance of healthy eating, working hard and attitude.

The 10 and 11 year olds got to learn about life as a professional football player through asking questions and tackling stereotypes relating to those involved in the sport.

“It was a good chance for us to speak with the children and discuss some of the myths associated with football,” said Steven.

“We were able to explain to the children that to become a professional in any walk of life, you need to work hard, have a good attitude and look after yourself through having a good diet and exercise.”

The afternoon was rounded off with the players signed autographs for the pupils (and some of the teachers!) and a photo to mark the occasion.
