Blues midfielder happy with any kind of goal as he nets a late equaliser against Barnsley
Tom Lawrence admits he'll take the tap-in he scored at Oakwell, even if it wasn't as pleasing on the eye as some of his other strikes this season.
The Leicester loanee got on the end of a Brett Pitman cross to tap home a late equaliser against Barnsley, and he knows Town need to up their game in order to turn those draws into wins.
"The gaffer wasn't too happy with our performance, and we know we weren't at our best today, so we'll take the point," he told Ipswich Player HD.
"I just ran off my man, got through and slotted it home nicely. It was probably my easiest one here yet!
"I'll always take that kind of goal.
"In the first-half we were in the game, but we conceded a sloppy goal which put us on the back foot, so all credit to the lads who kept battling.
"When we played Reading, they got a draw out of us, and I thought we were robbed there, so maybe we've robbed them here, but now we just need to get that win before the break next weekend.
"We'll have a rest day tomorrow then we'll be working hard all week in preparation for Cardiff."
