Ben Morris scores a brace as Jonny Williams makes his return from injury
Ben Morris grabbed a brace as Town's U23s made it five without defeat with a 2-1 victory over Bristol City at Playford Road.
Jonny Williams played 45 minutes on his return from a shoulder injury that has kept him out since December before being replaced at the break.
England U17 striker, Morris had the Blues in front with just three minutes on the clock as he collected James Blanchfield's pass before finding the net from close range.
Shane McLoughlin had the opportunity to double the advantage almost immediately but his effort was tipped onto the crossbar by Robins goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott, but at the other end Adam McDonnell had to be alert to clear a James Morton effort off the line as Town went in at the break with the lead.
Morris started the second-half just as he had done in the first, by putting the ball into the back of the net. This time he wriggled free of the defence and confidently slotted past Wollacott from inside the box as he took his tally for the day to two.
Bristol City reduced the arrears with just over 25 minutes to play as Joe McNulty swept home following a corner, but Gerard Nash's side held on to claim the three points.
