City loanee grabs his third goal in as many games as Town see off PNE

Bersant Celina praised his Town team-mates Martyn Waghorn and Joe Garner after Blues’ 3-0 win over Preston at Portman Road.

A Waghorn free-kick and a David McGoldrick header either side of the break put the hosts 2-0 up, before Celina rifled home his third in as many matches, including a last-minute free-kick winner against Burton a week ago.

“Martyn felt confident about the free-kick so I said ‘take it’” Bersant told iFollow Ipswich.

“We’re never going to argue about that sort of thing. He’s a great free-kick taker and he proved it. I trust him and he trusts me.

“As for Joe, he’s amazing. I’ve never seen anyone his size fight against big defenders and win headers like he does. That’s why he plays every week.

“If we play like we did today and keep working hard then we’re going to win games and push for the top six.”
