Tommy and Monty set for World Cup shoot-out
Town duo Tommy Smith and Monty Patterson have been named in the New Zealand squad for their World Cup play-off with Peru this month.
The All Whites face the South American side in a two-legged tie for a spot at the 2018 finals in Russia, with the first-leg in Wellington on Saturday, November 11 and the second in Lima four days later.
Tommy, who has 35 international caps to his name, will be determined to represent his national side at another World Cup finals, having played all three games for the All Whites in South Africa seven years ago.
Monty, 20, has represented his country 15 times, scoring one goal.
