Last time we met: Aston Villa 0-1 Town. 11.02.17
Emyr Huws struck late on as Town snatched a dramatic victory at Villa Park in February. The on-loan Cardiff midfielder stabbed home a David McGoldrick cross to bag his first goal for Blues and secure all three points for Mick McCarthy’s side. The winner came moments after McGoldrick had cleared a Scott Hogan header off the line as both sides looked to find that crucial first goal. It was Town that found it when Huws’ converted in the 83rd minute to send the visiting fans home happy.

Previous meetings at Villa Park:

10.09.94 Aston Villa 2-0 Town

10.03.01 Aston Villa 2-1 Town

17.21.01 Aston Villa 2-1 Town

05.01.13 Aston Villa 2-1 Town (FA Cup)

11.02.17 Aston Villa 0-1 Town

One to watch: Albert Adomah
Adomah has eight league goals this campaign, including three in his last two against QPR and Sunderland. The Ghana international boasts the best chance conversion rate (34.8%) of the 29 players to have scored five of more goals in the Championship this season. Expect him to pose a threat on Saturday.

Could be the difference: Town’s defence away from home.
Blues have failed to keep a clean sheet away from Portman Road in each of the least 16 league away games. The last shut-out came at Villa Park in February so let’s hope for more of the same on Saturday.
