Mick looking for Town to continue Play-Off push against Owls

Mick McCarthy says a lot of clubs would like to swap places with Town as Blues play host to Sheffield Wednesday tonight.

Town sit on the fringes of the Play-Offs with at least one game in hand on all the teams above, and could rise up to seventh with three points at Portman Road in front of the Sky cameras.

“We’re pushing for it and so far it’s been a good start” Mick told iFollow Ipswich.

“Around the Play-Offs with a home game to come, I think a lot of teams would take that. There are a number of teams that would willingly swap places with us.

“We’re the fourth highest scorers in the league too and what a difference that has made to last season.

“We’ll need to play well to beat Wednesday but if we do we’ll be in a good position for Aston Villa on Saturday.”
