Town support Suffolk FA initiative as build up to derby begins

Town are partnering Suffolk FA during Love Football, Live Football Week sponsored by MH Goals Ltd.

The week culminates with the derby against Norwich at Portman Road on Sunday, with the match shown live on Sky Sports TV.

Suffolk FA staff will attend the FanZone prior to the game with the Love Football, Live Football Instagram board and the Boots2Africa boot bank for fans to donate their old football boots.

There will then be two Under-7 4V4 games taking place during half-time as well as the Suffolk FA chief executive, Richard Neal, discussing the week in an interview on the pitch.

Suffolk FA senior football development officer, Michael Cornall, said: “It is absolutely fantastic that Love Football, Live Football Week will gain such exposure.

“The intention of the week is to celebrate grassroots football and there is no better stage than in front of over 25,000 fans at Portman Road during the biggest game of the season!”

Town MD, Ian Milne, added: “We’re delighted to be supporting Suffolk FA’s Love Football, Live Football Week once again. It’s a great initiative that celebrates grassroots football and will hopefully encourage individuals to either participate or volunteer.”

As well as the above, ball boys will be organised by Suffolk FA for the derby with Michael saying: “Ipswich Town have been fantastic in supporting Suffolk FA Love Football, Live Football Week.

“I would like to personally thank everyone involved at the Club for this. I am sure it will be a fantastic end to the week.”
