Fans and Club discuss all things Town
The Club and members of the Supporters’ Forum had the first meeting of the season recently with the following some of the matters discussed:-
Voice of the Fans
Concerns were raised that there might be confusion over the supporters’ forum and the Voice of the Fans panel set up over the summer but the Club assured the forum there would be no conflict and that the Club just wanted to hear from a different set of fans as well as the forum through the season.
It was agreed by all that the Club’s Open Day was another fantastic day for all. It was generally agreed that the Club’s initiatives in the summer had been well received by supporters.
Again well received by all. It was mentioned that queuing for drink was a problem in the FanZone as well as all areas of the stadium. The Club said that it was aware of the problem and that the introduction of Contactless would help ease the situation. The forum questioned whether there was enough signage regarding the FanZone around the stadium. This has been acted on. It was also noted that the FanZone would stay open until 2.45pm on afternoon matchdays. On average 1500-2000 people attend the FanZone.
The Club reported that the ticket ‘bundle’ offers had gone down well, as has the reciprocal away ticket pricing at £25. The forum said they appreciated the Club’s decision to end the £2.50 charge on buying tickets on a matchday.
The forum said that the Battle of the Stands half-time competition had been well received.
