Adam plays an hour as Town go top
Adam Webster stepped up his recovery from an ankle injury with a run out for an hour in the U23s’ 5-2 win over Nottingham Forest last night.
The defender returned to training last week after damaging ligaments in the Carabao Cup win at Luton at the start of August.
Gerard Nash’s side went top of the table with a fourth successive win. Shane McLoughlin converted from the penalty spot to level the scores after an early Forest opener.
Ben Morris then took over penalty duties to make it 2-2 after the home side had gone in front again before putting Town in command with a header 20 minutes from time.
Ben Folami and James Blanchfield added to the scoreline to give Blues a 5-2 victory.
The only downside on the 90 minutes was an injury to Danny Rowe, who was forced off after half an hour.
