Summer signing, Emyr, to avoid surgery on achilles injury
Town midfielder, Emyr Huws is to avoid surgery on the achilles injury that has prevented him from playing so far this season.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Mick McCarthy said the Welshman had now seen a specialist on his injury, and is hopeful there is a different solution.
"He went to see the surgeon who, in my view, is the best because he did my ankle and I'm still walking!" said the boss.
"The decision was made for him to have it but we've gone back on that because we think it can be done in another way.
"The last thing you want is surgery, but it's frustrating for Emyr because he had his head round the fact that he would have it, but we think it'll be better for him in the long run."
