Blues manager full of praise for the start the Whites have made to the 2017/18 campaign

Town boss Mick McCarthy is prepared to face a ‘well organised’ Leeds at Elland Road this weekend, in what is expected to be a sell-out clash.

Saturday’s hosts top the Championship table despite defeat at Millwall last time out, and Mick has praised Thomas Christiansen’s side for their start to the campaign.

“They’ve started exceptionally well,” he told iFollow Ipswich.

“Thomas has a great pedigree. It’s not always easy to transfer that to the training ground but he seems to have done that.

“He’s got a really solid team and certainly a well organised one.

“It’s typical of this league that they go to Millwall and get beaten, though.

“The league is still wide open but I do think it will settle down, and Leeds, as well as other teams, look like they’ll be a threat later on.”
