Teenager ahead of schedule in first-team target
Tristan Nydam says he was targeting a first-team chance this season but he’s surprised the opportunity has come so quickly.
The 17-year-old has clocked up eight appearances for the Club this term, after making his debut in the Carabao Cup win at Luton in August.
“The manager has been great to push through the young players like Doz [Andre Dozzell], Flynn [Downes] and myself if he thinks we are ready and then it’s up to us to show we can cope at this level.
“When I look at where I am, I am probably ahead of schedule. I’m targeting maybe 10 starts this season. Making progress is the most important thing though. Helping the team progress and progressing as a player myself.”
