Blues midfielder reflects on Town's 3-1 defeat to the Robins

Tristan Nydam believes he’s adjusting to Championship football well, having managed another 90 minutes in Town’s 3-1 defeat to Bristol City at Portman Road.

The versatile youngster was called up to the starting line-up after midfielder Tom Adeyemi picked up an injury in the warm-up.

“Obviously I only found out just before kick-off, but I’m grateful the gaffer put me in,” Tristan told iFollow Ipswich.

“It can be tough as you’re not prepared to start, but that also means you’re not as nervous.

“It was a really tough game to be involved in but I’m happy I got through it as I was feeling a bit leggy at the end.

“I prefer playing in the centre and as always Skusey, as well as the other lads, helped me the whole game.

“I think I’m adjusting to this level well and I’m beginning to get used to Championship football.
