Skusey saw goal coming and hails Didz impact

Cole Skuse said he had an inkling he would get on the scoresheet after bagging his second goal in Town colours to set Blues on the way to three points against Bolton at the weekend.

The midfielder broke the deadlock early in the second-half, before David McGoldrick wrapped up the points with an individual effort in the final stages.

“I had a funny feeling I might get one. You could say I felt it in my waters!” Cole told the Club website, the 31-year-old having taken part in a drugs test after the final whistle.

“It was great work by Didz and when he pulled it back I thought ‘I’ve got to hit this’

“It took the slightest of deflections! It would have gone in the top corner if not!

“It was an important goal. We struggled first-half but credit to Bolton they played well. We improved in the second-half and Didzy was great for us after the break.

“I thought he would score earlier when he cut inside the lad but he hit the burger van with his shot!  It was a great finish for the goal though and it was a huge win for us.

“We’ve had a great start to the season and we’ve just got to look to keep it going.”
