Young Blues make it 2 wins in a week as they see off Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough
Ben Folami grabbed a late winner as Town's U23s saw off Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough this afternoon.
Man City loanee, Bersant Celina had given the Blues a half-time lead with a sumptuous free-kick, but Lucas Joao levelled from the penalty spot early in the second-period having been fouled himself in the box.
Goalkeeper, Harry Wright did well to keep out a Connor Kirby effort soon after, but Tom Adeyemi, who played 80 minutes, came close, only to be denied by a tremendous save from Owls' stopper, Cameron Dawson.
With the game looking as if it was going to end in a stalemate, Folami broke through the home defence and found the net, sealing three points for his side on the road.
Town: Wright, Crowe, Woolfenden, C. Smith, Webber, Rowe, Adeyemi, Celina, McLoughlin, Morris, Folami.
