Midfielder hoping to stay but playing regular football his priority
Luke Hyam is hoping to extend his stay at Portman Road but says playing regular football is the most important thing for him.
The midfielder is out of contract at the end of this season but is waiting for Town to confirm whether the 12 month option on him will be activated or he will be let go.
“I have left it with my agent. What happens, happens and I’ll deal with it then. The most important thing for me is to play games.
“I will give 110 per cent, as I always do until the end of the season and then see what that brings. If I’m here for another year, great, if not, I will look at my options from there.
“I have missed a lot of football lately though and I want to make up for lost time. I’m looking to improve as a footballer right across my game and you can only do that so much in training and playing U23 games.
“It comes really with playing first-team games week in, week out and that is what I have to look at. That is my main focus.”
