Knudsen hoping to make boyhood hope into reality
Jonas Knudsen is hoping to make his boyhood dream come true and play in this summer’s World Cup.
The defender made his first appearance for Denmark as a Town player in the recent goalless draw against Chile and is now targeting a place in the summer tournament in Russia.
“I always think back to when I was a kid and how much I loved football and I would dream about the World Cup,” Jonas told iFollow Ipswich.
“It’s the biggest stage you can play at as a footballer and it will be the biggest dream for so many footballers.
“Hopefully now I’m not too far away and I have to work hard and do everything I can to make the dream a reality.
“I need to be confident because there is a reason a manager gives a player a chance and that’s because he wants to see what the player can do.
“I’ve been given a chance so now it’s about working hard for Ipswich and seeing if it will pay off.”
