Town owner unlikely to appoint a new manager before the end of the season
Marcus Evans has told the Club website that he doesn’t expect to appoint a new manager until the season is over.
Mick McCarthy and Terry Connor left the Club following last night’s game with Barnsley, with Bryan Klug taking over on a caretaker basis for the rest of the campaign.
Club owner Marcus insists he will take all the time necessary to find the 16th manager of Ipswich Town, telling www.itfc.co.uk: “Appointing a manager is one of the most important - if not the most important - decision an owner of a football club will make.
“I have started the process but I will take all the time I need to find the right person.
“A lot can happen around the end of the season with managers so I want to be in the best position I can be before making an appointment.
“I can’t rule it out completely but I don’t envisage confirming our next manager until the season is finished.”
