Last time we met: Town 2-0 Reading 16.12.17
Town cruised to a 2-0 win over Reading when the sides last met in September. Blues were ahead inside three minutes when Callum Connolly latched onto Martyn Waghorn’s through ball before firing low past Vito Mannone. The hosts doubled their lead after 27 minutes with Joe Garner heading in from a corner. Dave Edwards came close to netting for the visitors but was denied superbly by Jordan Spence’s block.

16.08.14 Reading 1-0 Town
03.08.14 Reading 2-1 Town

One to watch: Modou Barrow
Barrow has scored some crucial goals for Reading this season including a strike in Royals’ last win over Preston earlier this month. Has found the net 10 times this season and has also contributed four assists.

Could be the difference: Town at the Madejski
Blues haven’t won away against Reading since a 1-0 victory under Jim Magilton in March 2009 – a run stretching seven games. Time for that to end.
