Decision on out of contract players is not mine to make says Mick
Mick McCarthy says the decision to offer Town players who are out of contract this summer new deals is not his to make anymore.
Luke Hyam and Teddy Bishop are two players whose current deals at Portman Road expire at the end of the season.
“It’s up to Marcus [Evans] and whoever else is involved to decide who is offered a new deal,” Mick, who is leaving the Club at the end of his contract, told iFollow Ipswich.
“I gave my thoughts beforehand. Now the decision is somebody else’s. It’s not mine to make anymore.
“Luke and Bish are out of contract this summer and with so many midfielders here now it’s a difficult decision.
“You can see the value of them but we’ve had more midfielders this year than you could shake a stick at – it's just six or seven of them have been injured at one time.”
