Nash ready to make the most of first-team role
Gerard Nash is relishing the opportunity he has been given in working with the first-team over the rest of the season.
Town’s U23 manager, along with Chris Hogg, has stepped up to support caretaker boss Bryan Klug for the remaining games of the campaign, starting with Saturday’s trip to Nottingham Forest.
“We have been thrown in the deep end but I’m looking forward to it. It will be new in terms of leading training sessions. When I have been involved with the first-team before, it’s always been Mick [McCarthy] and TC [Terry Connor] who have done that.
“I’ve been coaching a long time though and I won’t be changing too much.
“For us, as Bryan has said, it’s about pulling everyone together over the rest of the season and finishing on a positive.”
